Access denied network problem
I initially used the Dell Wireless Manager and it saw it fine, but I can't get it set for WPA2 -- it just goes up to WPA. What am I missing? Mike Well, if you literally meant what you wrote ("Disabled Dell's radio"), how do expect to detect anything? What you probably *meant* to do was to disable the Dell Wireless

What OIDs inculde in order to support Wireless Lan
You don't mention the router you're using, but if this was provided by the ISP (you mention ADSL), I'd recommend disabling the wireless on it & getting a decent look at a SonicWALL TZ180W which sets up totally separate subnets for wireless & wired network segments - you can set up Wireless Guest Services, even!

In Pro, to enable/disable SFS, go to Windows Explorer, Tools > Folder Options > View and scroll down to the bottom check box to "use simple file sharing." If SFS is enabled, .... <http://web.belkin.com/support/download/download.asp?download=F5D7230-4&lang=1&mode=> I can't tell for sure from the docs if it supports WPA encryption. However, I would run a test and try temporarily disabling encryption on the Belkin wireless router. If it works without encryption, check the firmware version

Network Disconnecting
However, for those of us that already do, it isn't necessary. I sure would like to be able to disable it. You don't need to use the PS3's wireless SSID for Remote Play. You can use any wireless access point that is already on your network. While I initially blew off most of what you said as "geekspeak" (no offense)

Comcast's miserably written TOS (terms of service) specify that you can only attach one computah, can't build a LAN, can't terminate a VPN, can't use it for business purposes, and can't attach a wireless network. This is despite the minor detail that Comcast sells WG200 wireless modem/routers.

Can't connect Win98 PC to XP wireless network
If you can, see if you can find an option for a DVD/CDRW combo drive. That will allow her to play DVD movies, and burn CDs, which might be useful also. A wireless network card would be nice. Most college/university campuses have free wireless hotpoints to allow students to access the local intranet and sometimes

You might have to set up a subnet but don't panic if you don't know how to set up a subnet. I'll have to get around to setting up that second router to the network at my place and get that working. You will want to first make sure that you can get on the net via the router by wire and then work out the Wireless

Windows Update & Wireless Network Snafu
Prior to going to SBS2000, this site had Win2K Server only; wireless network access worked fine. Currently, the same infrastructure is in place but wireless acces is not available. Now they were working perfectly on the wireless network until I installed the update. I then couldn't connect to the internet on my sister's pc although it could NO. Am I missing something else simple and/or are there any other basic setup settings(eg network connection settings) that I should check and enable/disable for the other 2? Don't you have to modify the routing table then? Of course. You can't route traffic to a network that is not connected! Just as you cannot use routing to your 10baseT eth0 interface if you unplug it and walk across the street, you certainly cannot route traffic to the wireless net if you turn off the AP or move the
